앨범설명
가히 가요계의 대세였다 해도 과언이 아니다. 서태지의 극찬을 받으며 혜성같이 등장한 휘성은 첫 술의 성공에 배불러 하지 않았다. 이미 지난 앨범을 통해 보컬리스트로서의 역량을 인정받았지만, 이번 작품에서 더욱 뛰어난 완급조절과 릴랙스 된 노래로 끊임없이 고민하고 노력했음을 곳곳에 내비쳤다. 또한 박경진, 김도훈 등과 함께 음반 작업에 적극 참여하며 이미 '신인'의 모습은 잊힌지 오래, '아티스트' 휘성으로 돌아오며 대중성과 더불어 음악적 욕심까지 숨기지 않았다.
전 작의 "안되나요.."가 넓은 팬층을 확보케 한 알앤비 발라드였다면, "With Me"는 리드미컬한 어반 알앤비로써 팬들에게 변화의 모습을 선사한 타이틀곡이었다. 뿐만 아니라 송백겨의 프로듀싱이 돋보이는 "Player"와 페리가 선물한 "Diliemma"에서 힙합의 색깔을 더하며 알앤비와의 조화를 꾀했다. 또 "다시 만난 날", "미인", "말을 해줘"와 같은 발라드 곡들까지 대중에게 큰 사랑을 받으며 가요계를 뒤흔들었다.
그 결과로 "With Me"가 지상파 음악방송에서 6주간 1위를 기록하고 후속곡 "다시 만난 날" 역시 정상을 차지하는 등 휘성은 본격적으로 인기가수의 반열에 오른다. 이미 데뷔작에서부터 신인의 풋내와는 거리가 멀었으나 더욱 성숙해져 돌아온 휘성의 두 번째 작품은 그의 앨범 중에서도 최고로 손꼽힌다. 어느 방면으로도 손색이 없는 작품 [It's Real]. 이것은 분명한 사실이었다.
