‘슬기로운 의사생활 시즌2’ OST의 열번째 가창자로 믿고 듣는 목소리의 윤미래가 참여했다.
‘슬기로운 의사생활 시즌2’를 통해 국내에서 처음 드라마 OST로 공개되는 ‘It’s My Life’는 원곡의 트레이드 마크인 피아노 멜로디를 최대한 살리는 방향으로 편곡이 진행됐다.
원곡이 지닌 기존의 강한 하드록 스타일 대신 대중적인 편곡을 통해 좀 더 친근감 있게 우리에게 다가온다. 아울러 조화롭게 배치한 어쿠스틱 기타, 일렉드럼, 오케스트라 사운드로 누구나 이 노래를 즐길 수 있을 것으로 기대를 모은다.
‘It’s My Life’는 2000년 발매된 전설적인 록밴드 본 조비의 정규 7집 ‘Crush’에 실린 곡으로 삶에 대한 진취적인 태도를 담아낸 가사를 특징으로 한다. 발매 당시 전 세대를 아우르는 뜨거운 인기를 보여줬을 뿐 아니라 2021년 8월 현재 유튜브에 게재된 ‘It’s My Life’ 뮤직비디오는 10억 뷰를 돌파하기도 했다.
편곡은 현재 밴드 문콕의 멤버이자 tvN ‘슬기로운 의사생활’ 시즌1 OST였던 제이레빗 ‘넌 언제나’, 전미도 ‘사랑하게 될 줄 알았어’, ‘슬기로운 의사생활 시즌2’ OST인 장범준의 '나는 너 좋아'를 편곡했던 오동준이 맡았다.
