1996년 발매된 5번째 정규작은 본인의 첫 작사, 작곡, 편곡, 프로듀싱한 앨범으로 총 판매량 247만 장의 판매고를 올리며 상업적 성공을 거둔 작품이다.

 

4집에서부터 발라드뿐만 아닌 여러 장르를 소화하기 시작했던 그는 본 작품 또한 재즈부터 모던 록, R&B 등을 수록해 다채로운 장르 내에서 음악적 역량을 뽐냈다. 이에 대중들의 폭발적인 인기로 발매 6일 만에 백만 장을 기록했다.
